Nanri is a Corporate and Commercial Law advisor and litigator with a particular focus on corporate and commercial litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. She has acted for claimants and defendants (public and private sector parties) in complex, high-value commercial and corporate dispute resolutions, public administrative law challenges, procurement law disputes, corporate governance disputes, contractual disputes, mining and mineral law disputes, banking and financial services disputes, media, communications and information disputes, construction disputes and debt recovery and liquidation disputes.

She also advised on regulatory compliance, crisis and reputation management for corporates involving PEP, and assisted corporates and individuals in public investigations, inquiries and investigations by regulatory bodies and public inquiries instituted in terms of the constitution.

  • Assisting and advising client in respect of appearances and submission of evidence before the Ntzebeza Commission of Inquiry into certain SAICA members employed by KPMG South Africa

  • Successfully representing a listed company against a SOC regarding the delivery of public services (High Court Appeal Judgement)

  • Successfully representing a local mining company against a director in terms of shareholder derivative action (SCA judgment)

  • Successfully representing an Information Technology Company in a dispute regarding ownership of Intellectual Property (High Court Judgment)

  • Successfully representing a listed mining company against a land reform and restitution claim (Land Claim Court Johannesburg and Kimberley)

  • Successfully represented an international Bank in regulatory disputes with the South African Reserve Bank

  • Successfully representing a Bank in the unilateral termination of the banker-client relationship (South Gauteng High Court)

  • Successfully representing listed mining company in the review and setting aside of decisions by the Department of Environmental Affairs

  • Successfully representing a metal refinery company in the review and setting aside of an irregular tender awarded by a SOC
